You wont get a decent reply if you cant talk properly.
They both do the same thing but coilovers are adjustable. Shocks and springs are set in the factory and usually cant be adjusted.

Not sure the term demoted would be correct anyway when all the staff do it in their own time

Depends on what you want? Do you want it to handle better or for bare lowness?

Yet another thread going down the toilet
Let's get this back on topic shall we?
There isn't a standard reply for what you're asking. Your car, if it has standard suspension, will not handle well. On my old Corsa I had 15s on it and it handled like shit. I bought some 35mm lowering springs and had them fitted, and it handled much better - although I couldn't drive around with a car full of people due to rear arch scrubbage and wrong offset wheels.
A spring and shock set is going to be much better, but they lower your car by a fixed amount only - this is where coilovers come in.
And like anything in life, there are good and bad brands of suspension.
You just need to decide how much you're prepared to spend, whether you're bothered about being able to constantly adjust ride height or not, and ultimately find the best brand within your budget.

To be fair to everyone giving stupid replies, this should probably be in the Help Zone, Modification and ICE Advice section..
