If it's a stream ask the council to put some levees in. They got millions from the government after 2007 to spend on flood prevention

The kerb in the middle parts it's pretty high. The fire brigade will be down soon no doubt attempting to drain it. The problem is that the burn (or if your English, stream) runs into another burn thats very close to the river forth which is very tidal and reaches as far as my place.
Put this way the water goes way up past my door sills lol.
