Pervert locked up indefinitely
A DEPRAVED pervert who was caught with sickening pornographic images of children and animals has been jailed indefinitely after a judge branded him a danger to the public.
Gareth Francis Owen, 22, was jailed last week for performing sex acts with his pet dog.
Yesterday, he was locked up indefinitely under public protection laws at Teesside Crown Court after he was caught with a sick collection of child and extreme animal pornography.
The court heard warped Owen lived in a world dominated by his deviant sexual fantasies, and posed a high risk to the public.
He must serve at least two years behind bars, but was told by the judge he will only be released when parole chiefs decide he is considered safe to society.
Owen was caught red-handed after he took his computer to a shop to be fixed.
Police discovered 72 indecent photos of children and a sickening collection of 126 extreme pictures featuring dogs and horses saved on his computer and a memory stick.
There was also evidence he had watched several vile movies which had been deleted.
The court heard Owen despised children and felt no empathy for those being abused in the photos.
Recorder Jonathan Sandiford said: “That shows to me that the defendant has a total lack of insight into the nature of this offending and the impact it has on the children who fall to be victims.”
The judge said Owen was not just a “passive consumer” as he was in contact with other perverts on internet forums where he was seen as someone who could offer help and advice on downloading filth.
He had even been in contact over the internet with one abused girl who featured in one of Owen’s photos.
But instead of offering her help he pointed her in the direction of extreme porn.
Harry Hadfield, prosecuting, said: “He admitted making the images by downloading.
“He admitted that he got some gratification out of looking at the photographs.”
Two weeks ago Owen, formerly of Bruntoft Avenue, Hartlepool, was jailed for five months by magistrates after he admitted committing sex acts with his pet Labrador dog Andrex and other animals in the past.
He pleaded guilty to 17 counts of downloading indecent images of children, one of possessing indent images of children and one of possessing extreme pornography.
Nigel Hedley, mitigating, said: “He has made full and frank admissions.
“He considers he’s in this situation because he is a loner.
“He has found it difficult all his life interacting with others of his age and older.”
Recorder Jonathan Sandiford said: “He is entirely enveloped in a world of bizarre sexual fantasies where he struggles to recognise what is normal and what is not.
“You will only become eligible for release as and when the parole board feel you are safe to release into society.”

This happens quite a bit sadly, my mate did computer repairs and the amount of people coming to him to get their computers fixed that has horrible material on their hard drives was shocking.
Wouldn't surprise me if the police have some sort of pc repairs unit to catch these pedophiles.
