Is well worth £5000 with all the head work and a steel crank.

i dont know many big power lets with an arrow crank, even speckys, rons, steve powells etc, so could go as far as saying its better.

arrow crank is £1500 or so alone, arrows rods are either 650 or 750 a set, pistons £460set, headwork with cams, etc is probably near 2.5k and oil pump and pick up would be about 300, so if add all all just for parts its already cheap compared

Phillip your wasting your time mate
If they think it's over priced then they have no idea how much it costs to build a 600+bhp engine.
I had this talk years ago with chip (MIGWeb) when I asked how much to build a solid 500bhp engine an he said budget 10k, I laughted but now voice of reason......

Just to add for people who think its over priced read the following like "cost of a high powered LET".
Some added notes it's from 2007 prices have gone up a lot since then also some prices are for the cheaper end of stuff (cheap rods not arrow etc)

as i said i dont know a thing about engine builds and stuff so ive not a clue if thats a good or bad price. If phills prices are right as he stated above then tbh it is a fecking bargan. Couldnt justify spending that much money on a engine for a corsa though. Maby 5-10k on something like a evo engine or skyline engine but not on a corsa
Thats just personal opinion tbh would rather have a much better handling car with less money into the engine

Depends if you want to win something like TOTB in that class.

Could also be suitable for kit car or something like that.

A much better handling car.... but your doing an XE corsa. Not much weight difference in doing a LET one lol

As Ian says would be awesome in the right kit car! or a nice Cav Turbo

Lol, no its not!

I find it funny when people class something as over priced just because they can't afford it.
