As I'm getting a new car (Prem Members know), and I park in some roguh areas of birmingham sometimes, dont really want it wondering if I'm not driivng it. Has anyone bought or had a Tracker for their car if so what Make/Price wise did you spend?
Thank you.

tbh, if a car gets pinched, do you really want it back? More so if it ends up in a chase cos the Police pick up the tracker.

It's a nice car Nathy but not exactly something you need to get a tracker fitted to.

I wouldn't bother, not unless the cost of it reduced your premium enough to pay for itself over the duration you plan on having it.

I think the general rule is people have them if insurance request it, which they usually do on expensive high performance cars.

Obviously, it won't physically stop people stealing it. If they want it, they'll take it. But it might be worth considering mate. Check with your insurance to see if they'll offer a discount on your premium? I have a Trackstar Cat 5 on mine but you can get Cat 6 ones fitted and supplied now for less than Ł300

I don't think I'd ever pay extra for a tracker on any car which is mass produced or is simply easy to replace.
Take Steve's Puma for example, if that got nicked I would really want it back due to how many man hours have gone into it - it's become more than a mass produced hatchback at that point.
My CTR though which is probably worth considerably more than the Puma financially has only got 6 hours worth of stick on tat (if that) so I'd not really want it back... payout would be an excuse for something new

Then do you pay like a annual 'contract' with them?

Ive had 4 of them and found them to be a pain in the ass dealing with the companies.
I had to 1 removed from my p1 because it kept on draining the battery.

These days it's hard to steal modern cars without the keys. So hi-jacking and breaking into your house to get the keys is how they go about it. CAT 1 alarm should be more than enough for the car in question

would rather lose the car and get insurance money if it got stolen, not with the corrado, but something like a Skoda Fabia MKII vRS. 2010 plate can easily be replaced

It's not as common as it used to be, although I'll stand corrected if you say that's wrong

Corrado's
Fabia
You could buy a few corrado's before you got to a fabia, both in number of cars and cost.
