Hi guys,

Not sure if im posting this is the right section so apologies in advance.

I'm looking to purchase a new car. And really love the look of the new Corsa Limited editions. White with black alloys looks the business.

Does anyone on here own one? Or has driven one?

If so, are they worth buying? This will be my first purchase of a new car and i want to get it right. I can see they RRP as £14.5k which seems extremely excessive in my opinion. I went and viewed one yesterday, and without much persuading got him down to £11.5k (with my crappy 1998 Clio as px)

What would be described as a bargain for this car? And within reason, how far can i push this sale down in price?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply.

It was up for £14.5k on Evans Halshaw.

Just standard spec. What i was thinking, was try and get him down to 11k and get him to chuck in a touchscreen satnav/cdplayer they look pretty tasty. Just unsure as to what most people are paying for these.

Whats your reason for hating them?

Im not really into modding cars to be honest. Would rather just buy it pre done!

Thought they only came as a 1.2? If higher, i would assume the price rises dramatically?

I have one, the exact same as to what your wanting except i dont have touch and connect.

They are good little cars. 45mpg easily in the 1.2, not too sure about the diesel. Funky looking.

Things i dont like are the passenger seat not being able to be lowered, steering wheel on its lowest setting is too high and the gearstick is pretty low down.

If you get all of what you want for 11k then i would run like feck when you get it because that is a bargain and i honestly dont think you would get it but you can give it a try.

On the plus side you get lifetime warrenty and no mot for 3 years. Tax is cheap and insurance. More info on corsa d forum.

Ive only done 300 miles in mine but i think its a really good car. Miles better than the equivalent fiesta/punto.

Decent reply mate cheers. The 0% apr is whats tempting me at the most.

Iv seen a lot of people saying that its pretty slow, but speed doesnt bother me to be honest. Im not one for liking t spending a lot on petrol!

It is slow but really, what n/a 1.2 isnt? If you want fast you buy a vxr and spend stupid amounts on petrol. Its a really good car but im not expecting it to hold its price very well. Best thing is to go and see one, gauranteed you will love the looks but its best to drive one to make a decision.

It's not as slow as I thought actually to 60:

Corsa B 1.2 16v - 13.0s
Corsa C 1.2 16v - 12.0s
Corsa D 1.2 16v - 12.7s

Not much different, my 1.2 B wasn't bad at all

They have the 'VXR styling kit' which is an extra on the SXIs, although the white ones do look a bit like they're trying to be a VXR Arctic

They seem like good cars for the money, although the depreciation is scary. My mate brought an sxi for 14k new (10 plate), and got offered 6k trading it in to the same dealership about 4 months ago!

I like them.

I'd be wary going new unless you're going to keep it for a while, but they're certainly not common, I wouldn't say I often see them on the road.
