Thought some of you might be interested in seeing a few pics from our trip this October.
We started out with a week in Vegas, ending with our wedding. After that we drove to San Diego and from there we spent 14 days travelling north through California with the last few days in San Francisco.
Such a fantastic trip and if you dig beautiful nature, great food and amazing wine you really should do it some day.
First to nights, we spent in a small suite at New York New York.

First morning. Jet lagged, so after an hour in the whirlpool we went for breakfast at 6.

Elvis and Darth, begging for money.

View from the bar at the top of Stratosphere.

This freaked me out. The bull was running in ultra slow motion, squeaking loudly, with the mannequin just rocking slowly back and forth.

Cars & Coffee - Las Vegas branch. Unfortunately had a very poor turnout and mostly Porsches and Mustangs.

Some good father son time at the range. We shot Glock 18 9mm and USP .45. The USP was fucking bad ass! Such a kick!

Didn't even have a disability badge...

Wedding suite at the Mirage. The place was fucking huge.

TV came out of the end table at the touch of the remote.

Glass of champagne and a Bud the day before the wedding.

Our suite was in the top right corner, just behind the "5" in the Beatles banner.

Custom rings that we brought from home. Guy who made them is a fucking genius. Red gold, black diamond and black onyx. Curving the onyx to fit the ring profile was a bit of a challenge but the result is flawless. Inside is hand engraved with names and date.

I can not tell how grateful I am for the people who took the trip across the globe for our wedding. I'll never forget them for that!

Bye-bye Vegas!

San Diego Zoo - 30 seconds after taking the picture this little guy bent forward and took it to the root. As a result, the American woman standing next to us yelled "Oh my gosh!!!" and started covering her kids eyes while shoving them away from the exhibit.

I love Zoos and San Diego is hands down the best I've ever been to. So well decorated and the animals have incredibly big exhibitions.

Laguna Beach

Warner Bro's water tower

Universal Studios

Water World show

Santa Barbara - Lovely place. Could easily see myself living there tbh!

The Challenger on the Santa Barbara pier. Good seafood there.

Took a night at a motel in Morro Bay, a town famous only for Morro Rock. As it was too foggy to see I took a pic of this guy instead.

Hearst Castle - Bizarre!

Tried to steal my camera, almost succeeded.

Forgot its name, but beautiful place.

Big Sur - Asked at the reception if there was wi-fi in the cabin. Receptionist looked dumbstruck and said "Man, there's nothing in the cabin! No phone, no TV, no aircon and definitely no wi-fi!"
Had electricity though.

Sea lion

Pelikan

Big Basin

Red Woods are fucking huge!

Napa Valley - Bit of a let down...

San Francisco

Alcatraz (couln't be bothered to go visit)

Pier 39

Police Intercepter

Cheesy kissing shot in front of GG Bridge. Wifeys necklace was her wedding gift from me. It's done by the guy who did our rings and is a replicate of the top half of my wedding band but with a huge black diamond in stead of the onyx.

Back home to the rain and a car decorated with flags...

...and cans! Thank god we noticed before driving off.

Thanks for looking, hope it was fun!

Looks
We did a similar thing a few years back (same states, maybe one or two extra? Can't remember now). Alcatraz was really interesting and was worth the trip (unsure how much it cost though).
The roller coaster in the second picture is terrible!
Water World show is very

Cheers guys! Was a fantastic trip. Obviously we saw and did a lot more, but I decided against showing all 1.600+ photos.

Depends how you look at it. Was an expensive vacation, but a cheap wedding. Can't think of a better thing to spend that kind of money on, when it comes to personal luxury.

Alcatraz is just one of the thousands of things we chose to skip. Would love to see it some day, but as neither of us are really in to history, we decided against it this time around. I don't question, that it's a great experience.

Such a strange thing. Saw him running around near the car, so sat down and pulled out the camera. Must have thought I was finding something edible, he was just there in a flash, wrapping his claws around the camera and starting to pull. Scared him off by laughing though.
Also, I know how you feel. Remember seeing Tom's pics after his trip last year and started counting days immediately after.

Local guy. I drew up the basic design and decided on the materials. He then came to our home and took measurements and guided us on a bit.
Have no idead if it was pricey or not.
We came in at just short of 1.600 Ł which I thought was reasonable. The black diamond was quite cheap at 0.2 crt, but the custom shaped onyx was not. Also my ring is quite large, so the gold value in that alone is more than half the cost.
