I cant decide if its a bit shitty that they went through all that and now owe £85k when they could have been told to jog on right at the start, avoiding most of the time/costs or if they deserve it for being so fucking retarded.

They must know legal action costs money.

Although they should have known they bought a house next to a race track.

Which has been gutted by fire according to the end of the report.

Things aren't going well for them tbh. Should have done their research though.

About time a claim like that went in favour of race track. Hopefully the amount of legal costs of losing a case like this puts off other people trying the same thing.

I would of thought there claim would be against the people they bought the house off and there solicitor who did the checks etc before they completed.

This is after all the sort of thing your seller is obliged to tell you by law and your acting solicitor should be find out on your behalf.

But yeah fuck 'em!

Surely if it was only 500 meters away, they would be able to see it from the house when they viewed it. Even if it was covered by trees etc, then there was be signs etc with the race track name on it.

The thing is, before reading this if someone told us about their plan of legal action we would have all agreed they'd have won. About time judges started applying some fucking sense when making legal decisions

The couple’s first complaints about the noise were lodged with Forest Heath District Council three months after they moved into Fenland and Mr Shields even built a straw bale wall around the house to prevent his peace and quiet being ruined
