Been looking at getting one of these as my next car!

Would have to be an Msport aswell!

Has anyone had one on here?

What they like to live with? Will only be doing 5K miles a year.

Also they are mostly autos but I've always had manuals? Any known problems with the auto box?

I've got £5.5k to spend!

Any help appreciated

My mum used to have one, lovely cars. Very thirsty as you would expect and sound lovely on full song

Just need check rear bushes etc as per any E46. not sure on auto box though as hers was manual..

Oh and Msport is a must!

She looked at a few before getting hers and the spec is miles apart from a normal 330ci

I had a convertible one, absolutely loved it.

Really juicy with the auto box though but very very nice to drive. Used to average low 20's. High 20's was possible on a run. Although Auto's are heavier.

If you get an E46 try to make sure it's after 2001/2002 as the steering feel on those is better than the early ones.

Auto boxes on the whole are very reliable and ridiculously smooth

Check there is no play in the steering rack as these can be common, also check the rear subframe mounts.

Edit: Has to be an msport imo, much nicer than base spec from the seats to the bumpers etc

Lad at my work has one. 51 plate. His is auto though.

He got his last year, £5k got him 51 plate m sport, 70k, heated leather, sat nav, harmon kardon, Xenons etc. very good spec.

Think bushes is the only thing that goes wrong that's common. Pretty reliable cars.

Think mine had nearly everything bar sat nav and maybe a couple of other bits.

As Tom and James have said you get alot for your money! And if you're not worried about speed 325's are a good look too.

I used to have a 2001 330ci SE manual and have now bought a 2004 M Sport Individual with pretty much every factory option.

Stunning condition for the year and FSH. Only downside (in some peoples eyes) is it has covered 127k, however the previous owner bought it with 77k 2 years ago and put the rest of that mileage on journeys to scotland and back, so motorway miles.

Drives a lot tighter then my old 330ci which had only covered 68k.

Might be for sale soon

I have one now, i bought it 12 months ago and i love it! It's a 330 m sport auto. Didnt really want an auto at first but so glad that i did, its so easy to drive and comfy, really is the best car for the money imo. Looks really good aswell and dont need modding (i fitted some M3 mirrors though).

I only paid £3k for mine with full tax and test and was on 115k miles and is a 2002.

I wouldnt be put off with 127k, theyl last forever if looked after. Mine is still quiet and has never missed a beat, only get around 20mpg though.
