We moved into a new cul de sac of around 6 houses going back 10 months. we were the first ones in and had a very quiet street for a few months.
During the last couple of months, people have started moving in, have met most of them and everyone seems nice.
all houses are detached and all sides except the back of the houses are viewable.

Our direct neighbours, whom ive only met once, moved in about 2-3 months ago. I know nothing about them/family etc, and didnt realise they had any kid(s) until last week when I spotted the girl walking out to school.

From what I have gathered, its a single father living with just his daughter (im only guessing).

However, they have blackout blinds in ALL the windows, top and bottom and they've NEVER been opened. The lounges, bedrooms, side windows, office windows are ALL always fully closed and blinds drawn, no matter time of day or weather.
Its the only house thats like it.

In addition, theres a camper parked on the drive which has the windows fully covered up as well.

Am i right to think this situation is a bit dodgy?
I've met the chap once early on and he seemed nice, but only had a 60 second conversation.

thoughts?

TBH I rarely open my curtains until the summer.

I leave the house when it's pretty dark and get home when it's pretty dark.

I don't have blackout blinds though

Ask him round for dinner.

Of course it has nothing to do with me.
But we're talking about every window in the house, no sun light what so ever, and atleast half of the windows look out over a nice field.

To think of living in my house where theres no sun light what so ever, day and night seems odd.

The girl must be around 13-15 I think.

perhaps the reason their curtains are shut is because they think you are peeping/watching them?

Maybe he heard from the other neighbours that you keep looking in folks windows?
Seriously though I never open my blinds as I can't see the telly otherwise and my bedroom blinds are always shut too because I get up in darkness and go to bed in darkness.
