Stripped my mates GSi of parts today ready for being scrapped on monday...
Rear arches had gone, seal around the windscreen on the roof had gone, windscreen needed replacing, piston rings needed replacing, underneath was pretty much rotten, Had front end crash damage as well, the slam panel was bent in and the bonnet wouldnt catch

The exterior was lovely though, such a shame

From this;

To this;

White bonnet was from the crash, was the only part of the car damaged apart from the slam panel
Been sat for about 8 months now, charged the battery and it started pretty much first time.
Such a shame

Interior isnt any good, and dont have a steering wheel puller to get the wheel off.
And don't have the space to store all the parts

dont need steering wheel puller, give it abit of a bash around the centre and use 'abit' of force, wheel would come off, interior would of pros still sold, and engine would of more than likely sold as spare or repair.. been looking for a cheap 1600 engine..

Still a headlight, wings and side repeaters there!

As said, dont need a puller for the wheel. Loosen the nut (BUT DONT TAKE IT OFF) then give the steering wheel a hit from behind combined with some pulls while sitting in the seat and various other smacks and should come off.
If you dont leave the nut on then when it does come off who know what damage you'll do to yourself

Its been sat for about 8 months Jay! He had it for nearly 2 years so I doubt its yours
The side reps aren't worth anything and that headlight is broken, the other was a depo that didn't smash in the crash...

Have you spoke to Ryan (RCoughtrie)? His interest is genuine, he's been after a GSi to restore for a while.

He is so far away though!
And I feel that it would cost to much to restore, almost more than its worth?

Distance isn't a massive issue, he's got 2 people willing to transport it for mates rates. Just have a word, I know he wants a long term project and he's talked about an engine rebuild etc. Depending on how quick he could make the decision we could probably have it out of your way pretty sharpish too.

shame to see people break them, but nice to know mine is still there and one of the decent ones left (imo)

i know you won't reply to this as you have a funny attitude towards me.

But i've managed to sneak Corrado into a thread
