I feel sorry for you there Ed, sucks to have to pay for the problems of others, is obvious your a careful driver from the amount of NCB you have.

But from this topic, long gone are the days where you could have a years insurance for £300, all the prices seem £450+ Population will only get bigger, more risk due to more cars being on the road.

26 - 3yncb - 3k - tpft - E* postcode - £490 on a 2004 Renault Megane 1.9 dCi 120 Dynamique - unless I wanted to pay £650 I had to limit the mileage.

Technically that's the same as insuring it in someone else's name - fraud. A friend got a telling off from the police for having their car registered at a different address to where they lived so I changed it on mine. Moving in a few months to 'the countryside' anyway, so hopefully the price will drop

Mad thing is I'm moving 4 miles up the road from were I am now to another village, there both nice quite villages yet because I'm 4 miles nearer to Leicester city (it's still a fair way away) it's going up. When ui was getting quotes last week as i had to renew the difference was as much as £100

27, 8 or 9 years NCB, fully comp, £300, expensive when the car only cost £250.

Just realised I was 26 when I took it out, not 27.
