not Fee this time but me in the lower powered Impreza.
Sports & Saloons Class 1B - MSA list 1B tyres (Fee's old 888s from 2010 Time Attack)
Qualified 13th on a grid of aprox 30 with a low 58s lap.
Race 1 - belter of a start moving up a handfull of places but just couldnt defend them due to the cars power deficit! By lap 5 or 6 I was just cruising round as I knew I couldnt catch the cars in front on slicks and the other Impreza in 1B was out of sight for the time being. Nursing the tyres and brakes I ran low boost in this race - first race, first time in the car in 6months or so etc etc etc. Finished in 11th and 1st in class.

Race 2 - It started snowing just before we were called, then hail then rain.... it was a wet greasy start but the rain had stopped for the start but started falling again during the race. Wound the diff a couple of clicks forward (just for the start, popped it back to more rwd biased to avoid understeer during the 1st lap), upped the pressures and slackened the susp all round. Made another good start and managed to fight off the cars behind for much longer this time (more boooooost hehe ). Made a complete cock up late in the race by letting the yellow supercoppa through under waved blues (for about 5 corners!!) I couldnt work out why as I thought we were racing for position so thought that I must be wrong and eased a touch on the straight only to then see the rocketship cossie honking up behind us. Too late..... i'd lost enough speed to allow him by newbie mistake hehe.
Finished 9th overall with another class win Car felt much happier in the cooler temps with the tyres and brakes lasting longer. Great race with Alex Bruce in the EVO X

low points - got called into the clark of the course for a telling off lapped a slow caterfield under yellows. Fair enough but it may have been more dangerous to slam on the brakes it was going that slow when I (pack of 3 cars) came across it and the yellow.
In short -
Thanks to the Wallace Performance guys for spending their weekend down at a cold and wet Knockhill with me Great job with the car....

does that 2 half wheels count as 1 on, 3 off?

only 3 in class but the other Impreza is more powerfull (not by a lot) and raced the series for a couple of years.
the 3rd car is a turbod G60 corrado. 3cm will be distraught to hear that I lapped it in both races.

Superb AK, I do however think you need to work on mounts for some new GoPro's in the boot lid for more or a race feel

Aye, cold rear tyres, you can see from the start they aren't working right but spinning it through first would've got the fronts working a bit, rears are still cold so it just steps out everywhere. Unfortunate to get it that wrong at the chicane though.

some geek data from the weekend.
Seems I was a bit gay at Duffis base for some reason (maybe traffic) on this lap in testing on sat morning. In the race(s) i was being a bit more sensible all round and not throwing it round the corners
This plot shows a comparison of the SMRC testing best lap vs TA best lap. Def an easy 57 in the car now Just need to get used to it a bit more

This compares race laps wet and dry to TA lap on pishy tyres.

and the 2 starts wet & dry

Do you think you need to make a y improvements with the car at all?
Or not bearing in mind your first in class, would you end up moving classes or just be more competitive with cars in other classes.
