SL55 AMG or maybe a 996 Turbo
If it is just for fun and doesnt have to be practical at all then maybe a Noble.
Edit : to swap the E90 M3 for the Porsche.

I think it is about time you went for the 911, you have wanted one for ages and if the money is there now you should go for it.
Personally if i had £20k for a car i wouldnt be looking at anything other than an SL55 AMG, i would sell everything to get one but it doesnt have 4 seats obviously so no good for you.
What is your daily car going to be? Is the E36 going?

Ah i forgot about the 318, glad you went for that one over the other cars.
You should look at the 911s then as you will be bored of anything else you chose. Dont forget to check the 996 turbos aswell though as they are VERY cheap now, get a warranty with it though

318 is fab, great car for knocking about in. Wish the rear seats folded back if thats a complaint but I can live with that.
Seen a few Turbos for around 20k but they all look tired and abused. Would be nice to have though as they dont suffer for the RMS failure like the Carrera does & have another 100bhp just to make things more interesting.

Not before employing another member of the site to mince it up a bit first.

911 Doesnt spring to mind when you say 4 seats.
Why do you need 4 seats?
Depends what you say weekend car? Something raw, uncomfrotable, scares the shit out of you or something fairly fast that you can ponce around in?

Fairly fast to ponce around in that I can fit more than 2 people in.
