Just want to get peoples opinions here.

Went to one with the girlfriend the other week (shes got a 1.0 seat arosa and loves the bloody thing )

And just wondering has anyone been to one and ever found that most people there are very rude?
I went, nobody spoke at all and when they did speak it a smug comment because i own a corsa

Any thoughts?

It just bugged the hell out of me because its like they think they're better than you.

Some guy pulled up (it was at krispy kremes in manchester) in a nice look star silver sport on orange cesaros and they all just mocked. Felt like really kicking off

Complete wierdos.

Its more of a cult/way of life than a car. Majority of them have the stupid ear hole things, and dress like skater dudes - and they all think they are good photographers.

Lad at work hangs around with them. Every Facebook status is about being stupidly low you cant go anywhere. All they do is talk, take photos, masturbate over DUBZ.

Last time i went to a VAG meet i had my 'scene' passat and everyone was still ignorant.

Untill the E38 cool kid turned up and everyone was trying to hang out of his arse.

I think most car forums are the same, apart from the old skool stuff where the members tend to be older.

SVAG does my head in at times, most of them are sooooo narrow-minded when it comes to other car marques. 95% of them can't see passed VAG cars. They rip into Vauxhalls etc even when they have had no experience of them, its like its the cool thing to do and believe VAG is the best.

As said alot of vag meets arnt really just about the cars its a way of life kinda thing that includes clothing, music etc. Most have got more money than sense aswell when it comes to some things.

There are good people in the 'scene' though

This, as the ones i know rip the shit out of vauxhall, the only one of them who has had one says they are alright and would have another corsa, must be "cool" to hate them

thats no different to on here though. 90% of noobies and teens on here simply rip the shit out of ford cars because they ''rust'', even if they've had no experience of them whatsoever.

pretty sad really. i'd have any car if i liked it.

No i dont, the type of people in the Aircooled vw scene are completely different to Watercooled. its just how it is. and how i have noticed it in the 8 years ive been going to vw shows etc.

Every1 knows Ford's rust though.

Im talking on the whole, not just a single issue like Ford's and rust.

Vauxhall's are shite to them, just because they are a Vauxhall.

Very few on SVAG will stand up and defend Astra VXR's etc (like big_eck), but the hardcore VW nuts will rip into them with no experience. Simple minded comments like " Why would you want an Astra VXR, they're shit" etc, thats all they have to say. Ask them why they are shite and they have no comeback.

This.

Unfortunately it seems the majority of FAG owners are so far up their own arses they can open their mouth to clean their bellends.
I honestly don't see the attraction of these cars, especially VWs, as they're really nithing special. I believe most of the owners fell for the advertising hype of them being some sort of supercar for the masses.

To actually go to a VW show and see row upon row of Mk2 Golfs with Hella grills, a lowering kit and some Borbet or BBS alloys is about as appealing as being stuck in a fucking lift tied to Cilla Black and being force to listen to Steps greatest hits 3,000 times in a bastarding row.

Isn't it the same at PVS and FCS though with rows and rows of cars very similarly modified?
