Whats the law these days on selling copper to a scrap merchant?
Got about 500kg saved up, but do you need to be licensed to sell it?

Sounds good, Where i live the price is £2.10 per kg but in aberdeen it was £4.20

If you have half a ton do not let it go for £2.10, I got £4.20 for my last lot the other week. £2.10 is a laugh

It was just a 3 phase cable all in very good condition, Yeah £2 is an absolute joke up here but because Im on an island they can charge what ever they like

No regs at the moment thus why there is such a problem with people nicking copper and lead.

My van got broke in the other week and all they took was a little farting bag of copper fittings. absolute dunderheads

lads in the scrappy I go said soon you will have to provide ID and a company name and address. also funds will only go into a bank account

Will be for the best, anything to deter jakey tramps stealing copper off roofs of churches and hospitals is a good thing.

Found a place here buying £3.50 per kg, Took my name, address and reg and the money was handed over. Happy days
