Right so I have recently seen this!
Prior to watching this film I hated 'Superhero' films but thought this was brilliant!
I am now backtracking and watching the prequels,
Could anyone tell me the Chronological order of the films please?

The first Hulk is not part of the Avengers continuity, but a stand alone film.

never seen any of the recent hulk films. haven't seen avengers yet either. i guess you don't need to know much about the hulk back story for the avengers to make sense? i've seen all the other titles.

i remember the tv show anyway and you'd have to have lived under a rock to not know about it. scientist has an accident in the lab which makes him turn into a giant green creature when angry. thats pretty much it!

Yeah watched Iron Man and Iron Man 2 at the weekend and was thoroughly impressed.
So Hulk wasn't part of the series?
Wondered why Ed Norton wasn't in The Avengers.

I was the same after i watched Iron Man few months back when it was on film4. Never had any interest in superhero films. Had watched the rest within a few days after it.

Can't wait for Iron Man 3 to come out now.

It's not necessary at all, but The Incredible Hulk is a very good film. Easily as good as Iron Man 2 and way better than Thor and Captain America.

Unlike the other films in the Avengers universe The Incredible Hulk is not an origin story and starts after Bruce Banner has fled the country. Also, it's by far the least superhero-y film of the bunch. Definitely worth a watch for anyone who enjoys a good action flick.

Such a shame they never got around to making the sequel.

The Erica Bana starring Hulk is a piece of trash that should be forgotten and ignored.

I agree with this !

Just before the Avengers came out, I bought all of these for under £5, and watched the lot, and it makes more sense if you watch them in that order.

Iron Man is the best.

Not Marvel but, The Dark knight is very good.
