id like these to be totally red, everyone on cutters has smoked led jobbies and i fancy trying something new.. i want them like a darker shade of red (imola like grahams) they still need to be see through so must be tint spray and not just paint.

so..

dark red tint spray
gloss laquer that wont react
tips

You want the indicators red aswell? I didnt use any lacquer, the red tint spray leaves a glossy finish anyway.

Lamin x them, easy to remove if you mess up too. Also it goes a nice red. Pics of mine in my garage i think.

I would personally leave them as they are but as said, laminx would be the best bet incase you change your mind about them. Failing that you should get the later LED ones to freshen the car up a bit.

This one?

I want them uniform? So don't want the clear bit to look lighter than the red.. Was going to coat the clear till its the same, then coat the lot once?

Never been keen on clear lights, like smoked but its done to death...

Can tint these up, if they look shit I will buy the smoked led ones... No great loss

Mine had red clear and chrome bits and now all the same red, I'm sure there will be a pic on google or their site.

if you tint the clears too red then your indicators won't shine through orange anymore.

i think 2 coats is fine. but i needed 3 coats to go from clear to OEM red rears.

not always. depends how many coats of tint spray is applied.

They are common because they look good John. Not saying the laminex is bad, but these make the car look younger as well.

they do look fantastic on silver mind, im worried about

a. canbus issues
b. steaming up
c. rows going off
