A lot of people are worried about him, he was last seen on friday morning at 0200, but he worryingly left some reflective / mysterious posts on his facebook page saying he was going to a local woods around the last time he was seen and hasnt been heard from since

Unusual for him to go do a runner, he's a reliable, generally happy and outgoing lad.

Hope he turns up soon, his parents are worried sick too, i've spoke to his mum this morning and she says she hopes he's just slept over at some birds and decided to stay an extra day and his phone batteries flat.

Take it you've been in touch with the police? I wonder if they can track where his phone was last active before it died.

Hope he turns up soon mate, know exactly how u feel, my best mate went missing 3 years ago whilst going out for my girlfriend birthday. Got upset because she treated him like an absolute cunt letting other boys take Pictures of her gusset.

Threw him over the edge, he drove off pissed out his nut, done some very weird things up until 6am the morning after (as pulled up by ANPR cameras) and him nor his car have been seen since. Massive police investigation u might have seen him (or me appealing) on the news, Richard lambert his name.

Best of luck to you though

Seem to be seeing this a lot recently. Sometimes the people that go missing do this by choice and simply do not want to be found. Of course loved ones will find that hard to grasp but it does happen. Wherever he is hopefully he is ok.

He's 30.

Police have been informed as its been over 24hrs.

Still no word yet. He's been a bit down on himself lately saying people dont take him seriously though he's not stupid enough to make a point for the sake of it to get one over on them if you know what I mean...

Maybe he just wants to escape everyone for a while? Not trying to justify his actions but this would be one scenario in which he is safe

Its a serious amount of woods to search, we're talking 100 acres, including the common itself maybe 250 acres.

Maybe yeah, it would be very out of character of him. He actually works at the golf course adjoined to the woods.

The woods are packed with dog walkers and ramblers all day, something would have turned up by now.

Never rely on others mate, even if it's for your own peace of mind - get out there before dark and just have a walk around.

They wouldn't have been looking for him though, could have seen him and thought nothing of it.

His phone was 'Pinged' (I don't know what that means exactly but this is what his mum said) around a main road in a village centre about 4 miles from his home yeterday afternoon, 13 hrs after his last sighting, so this is being followed up now.

"Pinged" is something the police do to get a location of a phone.
