Yeah really easy. 2 parts sugar, 3 parts potassium nitrate. Put them in a pan and heat over a low heat until it caramelises. It eventually turns out like toffee.
Pour it into a container, stick a fuse of some sorts in it, leave it to cool.
I made another one tonight with double the quantities and it actually melted and evaporated the can it was in! Crazy!

Cool. Will have to give it a go, needs to be something i can light, drop and then let it do its thing, not something i can be stood holding and need to keep the heat on it otherwise I'll be thrown out
What did you use for a fuse?

The one I did tonight was in the woods and the smoke lingered for ages. It even started to sink once it had cooled down.
I didn't film it, but my mate did. I'll see if she can upload the video.
I've just ordered a kilo of potassium nitrate, so bigger and better smoke bombs to come

When I was about 14 I bought a load of that weed killer, filled up a Coke can taped it to a out R/C car, and lit it. I didn't know you had to melt it first till just, might of been why it didn't work as well as that.
I thought is was because the stuff I had, was mixed with a fire surpressore.
Once made a firework out of a few damp air bombs, a bog roll and a roll of tape. That was good, but the fuse was shit.

Nathy already posted that, and that's potassium chlorate, not nitrate.

Not really relevant but if you get a 2 bolts, 1 bolt and a box of swan vesta's you can make a small explosive...
Screw the nut on a few threads, then scrape the pink blobs off the swan vesta's then put them in the bolt and screw the other bolt on carefully as it can go off, just throw it at the floor very hard and hide behind cover.... took a chunk out of a brick and smashed the shed window down the otherside of the garden
