then bought this 1996 Evo 4 with evo8 engine in it
|http://thumbsnap.com/dp667JtC" target="_blank"> |http://thumbsnap.com/dp667JtC
|http://thumbsnap.com/1n5vdnHZ
then stripped the Evo and chopped it about abit
|http://thumbsnap.com/YoqFsaFW
I had to cut 7 inch out of wheel base to match the C2 length
[ |http://thumbsnap.com/IQLzPf3W
All the work has been done on a jig to hopefully keep it square also made the jig slotted so i could move it the 7inch i needed
|http://thumbsnap.com/hHtTPOws
Floor pan back together (dont panic)
Time to sort the c2
|http://thumbsnap.com/wK4QxqJc
Few cutting discs later i just cut round what i wanted and binned the rest
Then boom dropped the top on bottom

Then added a cage

|http://thumbsnap.com/KXG79bwN" target="_blank"> |http://thumbsnap.com/KXG79bwN
Got the exhaust fabricated up using the exhaust off the evo cut down and a couple of bends welding in, and made a rolled tip for it out of some round bar welded round
|http://thumbsnap.com/IlIlzLpq" target="_blank"> |http://thumbsnap.com/IlIlzLpq

Makes it look so easy! That is probably the best way to make a hatch back 4 wheel drive though, just drop the shell onto something else. Awesome.

Quality, project!
Being a Noob when it comes to welding, structural integrity etc can you explain in laymans terms as to why you are sure it will be structually sound?
Thanks

Awesome, pure bonkers.
How does someone even know if the eve chassis will fit under the C2 body? or do you just make it fit with welding bits in here and there?

Looks like a miniture focus rs with the dark wheels on it. Much better than the white wheels.

Prefer the white myself, its more 'WRC' then the black ones which are 'Ben G'

IIRC the condition of the Evo bodywork was pretty dire.
