Hi Guys,
I am in Slough for the rest of the week. I need suggestions on things to do and see in the evenings! Restaurant recommendations? Staying in a lovely Premier Inn so would rather eat somewhere nice at night!!
I await your suggestions/tips :-D

You're probably better off going into Windsor than slough.
There are nicer things to see and do, as slough is just one big business park, and a shit hole...

Hi
Honestly, jump on the train to Windsor (Platform 1 or 5 from the station, it's a shuttle Windsor > Slough).
Loads of lovely places to eat in the old Station in Windsor

Short of seeing if you can get tickets for the Theatre Royale in Windsor (if there's anything decent on) I can't think of much to do in the evenings

Kempton Park isn't 20 minutes from Slough if you drive at 100mph through all the 30 zones at 1am in the morning

Weatherspoons opposite windsor castle was good when I was there
From memory the old station in windsor you've got an ace tapas restaurant, a GBK, a Wagamama's and a few others.
Not much to do in slough, visit the slough museum The Red Cow (pub) was good to drink in and not too far form the premier. There's a McDonalds and a Tesco - Tesco has Krispy Kreme doughnut shop underneath it Clutching a straws a bit now
If your a thrill seeker/good runner wear a shirt that says something like "Immigrants go home" and take a wander down the highstreet/chalvey.
Meet up with adiohead, he's down langley way, Jambo, Pow, Paul J and Barnshaw are locals too.

I live about 110 miles away from there now mate haven't lived in Slough for about 5 or 6 years now!
But yes, best thing to do is go OUT of Slough... For food shopping you can go to Tesco by the train/bus station, other shopping take a drive to the Oracle in Reading.
Sightseeing just get on a train to Paddington and do stuff in London, only about a 20 minute train ride IIRC. There is seriously NOTHING to do in Slough apart from getting mugged/raped/whatever

Kempton Races sounds pretty good to me. Need people to go with though. Plus my suits are at home :-(
I will try the Tapas bar tonight, or maybe head into London for dinner.
Cheers for the suggestions guys! :-D
