For the last 12 years of my professional working career, I've always been used to travelling no more than 10 miles to my place of work. In other words, I've always worked in the city of Hull.

Anyway, as a favour to my employer, i've agreed to work in Leeds every day for the next 3 weeks. To begin with, i thought the hour and 15 or so minutes each was would get on my nerves after a while, however, after near enough my first week, i quite like it tbh. Chris Moyles makes me piss.

How long/far do you commute (southerners)/travel to work (northerners) for the purpose of work?

6-12 miles.

Wouldn't mind the commute to the city for a better job though.

35 miles each way, all motorway.

Only thing that bothers me is the cost.

I've just changed jobs and travel less than 5 minutes now. I love it. My old role the drive was about 45 minutes.

It sucked the most in the winter when wet weather always meant some retard would have stacked it.

Normally when I get sent into Leeds (for training) I'm sick of it by wednesday and ready to end it all by friday.

Commuting really isn't my thing!

Typical commute when not working from home = 24 miles each way, but takes about an hour each way due to traffic.

Sometimes working up in London, so that's about 50 mins on train and 15 mins on tube.

I actually don't mind the commute when I'm moving ... just hate it when stuck in traffic - stop start stop start.

18 miles one way, but all urban roads. Takes about 45 mins in the morning, hour on the ways home. I'm getting annoyed with it now.

35 each way. It could take me anywhere between 50 - 90 mins depending on traffic.

I actually dont mind at all when its a clean drive but when there is traffic ques i get bad road rage.

If I am in the office, which is rare - It is only a 3.5 mile or 7 minute journey.
Typically I am all over the country and occasionally Europe so im driving atleast 2000 business miles each month.

35 miles each way, anywhere from 1hr10 to 1hr45. I find it easier to prepare for the day ahead and also to wind down and not bring work problems home at night-much easier now Scott Mills isn't on in the afternoons!! The closer the journey is to an hour though, the better

I do a lot of business miles on top though, sometimes 1000miles plus per week which gets tiring on top of a working week

Anything between 15 miles/20mins to Bracknell, 1hr 1/2hrs 50 miles to st Albans or sometimes 190 miles 3 1/2 hrs to Sheffield.

I don't mind it tho, but I prefer listening to Chris Evans than that fat twat moyles.

10 miles, can take me anywhere from 25 mins to 50 mins, pisses me off most of the time, would really dislike going any further unless it was for loads of money.

10 miles each way. I could do up to 20 I think, anymore than 30 minutes travelling in the car would annoy me.
