Am I the only one who thinks the story is a little bit suspect?
He travels a few miles from his mother - no explanation of how.
He bypasses every security measure in an airport - human error blamed.
Little information from the parents, I.e. main focus on the security issues.
No interview with the family? (could be accounted for)
This close to the Olympics?
Not sure but I don't think its all kosher.

Airline security is still slack withing Europe. I went to ibiza last week and I got back onto English soil without showing anyone a passport?? I put my bad through the screening (hand luggage) and the operater was ducking down under the table eating a sandwhich and wasnt looking at anything.
Going to ibiza wasnt much better. The women who looked at my passport did it so quickly there is no possible way she could of actually looked at my photo or check my name against the boarding card. I couldnt of read my own name in the time she did. When I got to spain, they just consistanley waved you through as they spot your a brit.
Knowing the italian nature, I am sure a very lazy approach would have been used also.

Was it an Italian air crew?
There just seems to be so many unanswered questions and just a massive focus on security (which is an important aspect) that's making me doubt if it's genuine

I had a transfer at gatwick once when going Tenerife. Managed to get out to the taxi pick up poit and back in to the gates without showing anyone my passport or tickets. I was pointed to a fire escape by a security guard.

Yeah in a nut shell.
So many things to be answered for and the way the media have instant yfocused on the security side of.things as opposed to the other side of the coin and the story about the boy, why he did it etc?

Good luck to any paki getting through with a bomb under his turban.
An 11 year old kid isn't a thread, people need to stop looking into everything as terrorism.

An 11 year old kid dressed in suicide bomber gear may raise a few eyebrows.

I don't understand your logic at all or how an 11 year old boarding a flight in Manchester has anything to do with the Olympics

That sounds like a very terrorist thing to say. Ringing the terrorist police to get them to take you down right now.

Because G4S also do the airport security at Manchester so it says alot about the Olympic security....

So the Government has staged an 11 year old boarding a flight in Manchester in order to further damage the reputation of the company which is still providing the security for the Olympics in a couple of days time?
Again, I'm not seeing the logic.

I'm making a couple of assumptions here, but from your name being Rich I'm guessing you are white English.
They don't care what's on your passport or in your bag.

Ibiza isnt exactly riddled with huge events. Cant see many terrorists wanting to blow up banana boats or dj tiesto.

I blame the parents for failing to control the kid.
