Hi mate,
I'm just back! That was our 3rd time in Portugal.
Time of year? Last 2 weeks in June
Price? £450 - £650 pp
Location? Staying in Albufeira
Reviews?
We love it, food is amazing, people are very nice, very cheap for drinks and taxis etc. Nice mix of people - it's not like Benidorm / Magaluf etc etc
In November though I think it will be quite cold!
We have stayed in the Solaqua and the Cerro Mar Garden Apartments. Both ace but the latter was better and nearer the old town where we spent most of our time.
Hope that helps. Ask away if you have any quesitons bud!

Stayed at gfs uncles appartment so no cost on that.
Was located in cabanas de tavira.
Went around march, was quiet but hot, 25/6 degrees at least all the time.
Nice people. Took trips into farao on the trains (mental experience in itself) went out on a boat to islands around there.
Was fairly cheap, deffo going back!

Went to Porto in march. Absolutely beautiful place in my opinion. Cheaper than I thought it would be and even though it was march, temperatures were around 20.

Went to Alvor in June which is a small fishing village not far from Portimao.
Really enjoyed it, stayed in a brand new hotel called the Alvor Baia which was just on the outskirts of the village. Was All Inclusive and i would recommend it, really nice food and you could get as many drinks as you wanted at a time.
The weather was hot but very windy.
Cost £500 for a week.

Me and my mrs came back from Ohlos D'Agua last Sunday, 1st time ive been Portugal, but I loved it.
Time of year? Last 2 weeks Of July
Price? £850ish each
Location? Ohlos D'Agua
Reviews? Quiet area, everyones friendly, Portugese work hard keeping everywhere tidy, nice food, and local alcohol was alright aswell.
We went all inclusive so we didnt buy much, but walking to the shops etc, the prices looked reasonable, infact I thought they looked cheap for a tourist area.
As people have said, beautiful country, I'd go again, infact I didnt want to come home.

So looking at about £15 each way for taxi? May as well get a hire car for £45 or so and just stick £20 worth of fuel in it
