Not much help I know, but I bought a pair of shoes from china, those finger training shoes. They were half the price.

Anyway, I tried them hoping not to get done over, as their English wasn't too clever. But the item arrived really quick and the quality was pretty good.

Maybe buy a small amount from them first?

I have, in my old job, and after the hassle of communication, long delivery times and low quality consistency was taken in to account it was a fair deal more expensive than buying the local / European equivalent.

The suppliers I worked with were all quite professional and reliable.

I've spoken with some native Chineese suppliers who speak better English than we do. Admittedly some can be frustrating and you never really know if you're going to get what you've asked for, especially if you have quite specific requirements.

Touch wood I've not been done over as yet but I tend to get them to set-up listings on DHGate etc so I can pay through escrow rather than just blindy sending bank transfers.

I was looking at buying things from China from a website which deals with all China whole salers, just to sell on eBay etc. There was people complaining about not getting their stock etc and there was a woman on there, she was saying that she buys loads from China but only deal with the ones who use PayPal.

She basically said all the legit ones will use PayPal, and if they don't want to use it then there is a reason. Same as over here with eBay tbh.

This, I've bought loads and I find them very good to deal with.

Answer straight away and don't fuck you about and let you down like muppets in this country and America etc.

But if they don't do paypal I don't deal. Of course sometimes this puts the price up quite a bit to cover paypal fees but that's fair enough. Often when I've dealt a few times I'll bypass Paypal for a better price.

Tell them you'd potentially be making big orders and get some samples sent over first of what they can supply.

alibaba is shit and not as well constructed or safe as others.

Shaun, use dhgate, shit is harder to fine, but you're paying paypal, and the supplier don't get the money untill you leave feedback, can also send back free of charge through EMC.

DHGate dont accept PayPal anymore.

Alibaba is shit, wouldn't trust anyone on there and noone will accept PayPal.

Aliexpress is OK, used it a few time but stuff tends to be overpriced, definately not wholesale.

They do if you ask the seller, they put the full amount on the website as a bank transfer, accept it when the paypal funds go through.

Bank Transfer is just as good anyway. WU is fucking dodgy, end of.

Ive been chatting to a woman from this company

http://www.elekworld.com/

on the phone and on skype and she accepts paypal... worth a punt?

At worst it would only be a 100ish quid first order, not like im spending 3k on a speedboat so might be alright

What's his reason for not wanting to use PayPal? Imo there is only one reason why people refuse to use it.
