Want to get a half sleeve with my family crest as a centre piece and the family tartan as an end point

But stuck as to what the rest could be like

Do i just leave it to the artist or design it myself?

Anyone ever seen any tartan tattoo'd onto someone? Look good?

Take these three pictures to any good tattooist and ask them, they'll either be happy to help and will ask you to come back in a couple of days to look and some sketches they've done or... They'll tell you to do one

I'm not sure your tartan colours will work to well in tattoo form. Blue's and greens will fade quickly won't they?

I just was always under the impression they were a weak colour to tattoo with. I'm probably wrong but just always thought this.
