Are there any websites where you can follow share prices with "fake" money?
E.g Say you were wanting to put buy 1000 shares in company X, on a website you can add it to your "watch list" or whatever, and have 1000, and watch / study them?
Sorry if im sounding a bit simple Not really sure what to type into google to see if this exists...!

There are a few but I can't remember them off the top of my head.
So, yeah, this was a pointless reply.

You tried Google Finance? Allows you to enter quantity, purchase price and you track your stock.

Should look into technical and fundamental analysis if you really want to get into it. What you're trading and your strategy will tell you of those is more relevant.

Ig Index is one place you can have a play on free money, although it's spread betting rather than actual trading.

I'd be £14.78 up if I bought them when I made this thread (£500 start)
Does anybody use any online brokers? If so what are the costs? How freely can you buy and sell etc? Think im going to look into this more.

no, not everyone can start trading.
You actually need to have a fucking clue what you are doing. If it was that easy we all would be swanning into the city of london in our £500 prada jeans and black prada trainers and some casual Thomas Pink shirt tucked into them thinking we were the shit, sniffing the finest white powder from some dirty slut's tits at lunch.
Reality Distortion Field is set to High.

People have to start somewhere :/
Not saying that's the way to do it. I saw this on groupon and the amount of people talking in here about it, thought it may be of some use.
