The heat of the coffee would eventually melt the icing enough for it to soak through.

The sugar content of that icing will be through the roof also.

At 1st, you wouldn't know how much sugar to put in, then eventually as the coffee starts to melt it, the sugars will seep out the icing.

The idea is that you finish the coffee then eat the cookie.

And I reckon the icing has been tested enough not to melt through. People will have thought of these things

Only way you could really test it is to leave it sitting and see how long it will take before it starts to break down. And with the heat of a hot coffee, it certainly won't take long.

Theres nothing you can add to it, to stop it breaking down any quicker either. Also looks to be a very thing layer of icing.

Probably lots of things, super glue could be 1.

But once you start adding things, it will start to take away the taste, and also the name. It won't be icing anymore.

You could add instant clear gel, soft set icing etc, but it still wouldn't hold up against boiling water. Well, not for very long.
