Can anyone recommend any nice places to live in up north?

Ie. low crime, low flat rental prices, jobs, etc.

What do you class as up north? I live just outside Newcastle and it a nice place to live with next to no crime, not sure about the rent prices though.

well where abouts up North as when u southerners in london and surrounding talk about North u;s don;t seem to go further that Stanstead Airport
