Just using it today and my feed is just constantly filled with shite that people i have on there have "liked". Random statuses/photos/groups.
I wouldnt mind if they we're only showing up if they "liked" something by another friend on my list but its just random shite. My feed is filled with baby photos of people i dont even know and other bollocks 
Its the same for people commenting on stuff too.
It was ok when it used to just do all this in the top corner but its made my feed nigh on unreadable now.
Anyway to stop this, had a quick look in my settings but cant see anything?

Aye i knew about that but it only does it for that one story. Im not doing that for everything on my feed. The only updates i want are people status and photos they put up themselves. Not the shit they are liking and commenting on

That would stop everything they put up would it not? Its not that i was trying to stop, it was it posting something on my feed everytime a friend liked a photo/status from one of their friends.
Still would mean doing it friend by friend too. Im struggling to believe there isnt an option somewhere where you can select what appears on your feed for everyone. If i can do it person by person there must be somewhere you can apply it to all friends in one go.

I'm sure there used to be a way that you could specify which things show up in your feed. They change the site so often nowadays that it's probably gone now

Just had a look and you can stop it from showing comments/likes from people, but unfortunately it's on an individual person basis. What you could do is change the settings for the people that you get these stories from most, as it'll most likely be a handful of people.
Underneath the 'Show in news feed' option is 'Settings' - click that and you can specify what stories you see by that person.

Which, btw, is something that is getting on my nerves as well As well as people commenting on famous people/public figure etc pages thinking that it will make any difference. Most of it is probably in a quest to see how many like they can get to satisfy their vanity.
