Thought it was about time to make a project thread on here for this...
It's a '59' plate Renault Twingo 133 in Capsicum Red with optional extras, Cup package, bluetooth, air con, it's a 1.6vvt that is really rev happy!
Got it at the end of August looking like this!
Home sat next to the old Corsa
Did around 300 miles in the first weekend i had it! the chassis is stiff and it loves country lanes! got a few pictures in the usual places.
Then money started to get spent on it, first was LED sidelights and interior lights...
Found a few picture places near work so got a few more
Picked up Renault Sport Gearknob/Gaitor and handbrake handle for a third of the price brand new!!
Soon after came HID headlights and fog lights
There is a massive difference!!
Again more bits for the twingo, firstly Carbon Fibre mirror caps
More Pictures
Finally found some other Twingos about so had a mini meet in Blackpool, which sadly due to the weather there was only 6 cars
That's pretty much it for now, just put some Wind Deflectors and ordered some more parts but due to how dirty the car currently is, no pics!!

I love it Pow, not the quickest in a straight line 8.6 0-60 iirc, but down lanes it comes into it's own! test drive one, make sure it has the cup package though and see how you feel after it

if you get a 133 CUP then you'll have the basics

Get a gordini. My missus has a gordini and its the best package with the leather and all the gadgets.
There really good fun on the country roads and not to bad on fuel. Can tell there French though as already been back for a few bits under warranty on her 2 year old one.

Looks tidy, the mrs just got one in October.
Any decent places to look for second hand or cheap parts coming up for sale?
Whats the best way to find out if it is a cup, hers has bluetooth, aircon and auto lights and wipers but unsure about cup pack

Depends what you're looking for mate.
Easiest way to find out about Cup pack, is the wheels, they can be bought as an optional extra for something like £800 but for an extra £600 you would get the full cup pack, if it hasn't got the wheels i have then it doesn't have it.

Its got the same wheels as you, and black aswell. I thought they came with the wheels in anthracite but maybe that was non cups?

Nope they come with some horrible 16" alloys if they're a non cup, you get the choice of Anthracite or Black when you get the cup package

Went to the stealers today as it has been making weird noises recently, found out it needs:
2 x Steering arms
2 x Bottom Arms
Top engine mount
all luckily being done under warranty its only done 31,000 miles! :@

Have you checked your plugs and coil packs yet? Ours has had a slight misfire at around 3k in 3rd sometimes but was liveable. Gotten worse the past week and car went into limp mode.
Renault scanned it, reckoned it was a plug as they often go before their due to be changed and it had a misfire code but was only amber so they cleared it and that was it. ( i wasnt happy when the mrs told me, so phoned and spoke to them myself)
Then decided to have a look at the plugs out of curiousity and this is what I found
Bore was full of water and plug and coil pack soaking. Common problem with the leaking scuttle and you can see in the next pic where it runs through at.
Going back to renault when they open again to show them and see if they will actually grab a socket and do something rather than plug it into a computer and clear a fault code
