As many as you can fit in 10mb Which is a fair few thanks to some clever image compression in the uploader bit

Well if you upload fairly high res originals, say off a digi camera for example, it resizes them to ~640x480 (ish) which is decent enough for posting on threads, etc when you consider page loading times, etc...
