Irony is I've only just redone my CV

I'm a qualified Spark and also an engineer in a few disciplines but not looking forward to finding a job in this climate.

Also only been with him for 10 months so no payoff. Working till the 20th then on my own

luckily have the money from selling my VRS so got a buffer to pay the bills.

I feel your pain sir.

Got made redundant at the end of January when my governor sold up and retired. I'd been there 21 months so didn't get a bloody penny. Gutted.

Got a less desirable job about three weeks later, but destroyed my back two weeks in, helping two of the lads hump heavy equipment about the place.

Been signed off sick with nerve damage in my back so i'm back to square one financially speaking as obviously I won't be getting paid as I won't be there working. Stuck indoors on all kinds of drugs now.

May need op to have a vertebrae removed apparently. Bloody hope not though. Waiting to see specialist at the mo.

I'd only been there a fortnight. It's not the kind of firm that does sickpay.

I might get SSP if they can process it, but not had a penny yet and it's been nearly three weeks.

Hopefully should get a job seeing as I helped them go from zero to a 2 million turnover in 3 years

christ knows what i'd do if i lost my job. been working since i was 16, got the ford job at 19 and been ''institutionalised'' for 6 years now.

If you were made redundant you are still entitled to a payout which in your case will be 1weeks money it's called notice pay you are entitled to it after working for a company for more than 1month
