Do people view other people with beards as having an unprofessional apperence or not considered smart?

Was just looking at an application form that asked if you are of smart/clean appearence.

Depends on what they class as beard, bit of stumble/few mm then yeh can look professional but fully grown beard that could house a small family of birds then no bit trampy.

I reackon I look more professional with stumble than clean shaven as I'd look 12 if I didn't have it lol.

Depends on the job too, I only shave every couple of weeks being a postman, if I had an office job I'd probably shave more.

Definitely go clean shaven for an interview then see what you can get away with

Yeah depends on the job.

If its a marketing creative job where you wear jeans and what ever to work then its ok as you're expressing yourself blaa blaa.

If you're training to be a solictor. I suggest not.

Also depends if you can grow a decent beard...
One of the bank cashiers in my local branch has an awful attempt at a beard on the go.

Stuble looks fine IMO its when stumble turns to a full grown in tidy beard!

nowadays stubble seems to be the 'in thing' and is accepted, but full grown beards just aren't professional at all.

But, if the interviewer has a beard,
There will be beard love.

A properly maintained full beard is just as smart as no beard.

But these fashion beards I don't find smart at all...

Thats a huge decision thats not to be taken lightly. Thats 6 months of your life dedicated to beard growing that you could be about to ruin.
