Looking to buy some sort of electric gun that undoes nuts, i think the correct term is impact driver/wrench.

Anyone on here use one? I don't even need a battery one, plug in the wall is fine. Not buying an expensive snap on one etc as i won't have much use for it.

Struggled to undo my flywheel bolts over the weekend and had to ring a mate to help.

I seem to remember Kyle T buying one but can't find it.

i can borrow one, but think i'll get electric, rather than have a compressor taking up space.

That looks interesting. I didn't realise that mains powered impact guns were available. Incredibly cheap too.

Nice one Steve. Can't see how you can go wrong for the price either.

Wish these had been around a few years sooner.

Would you say these impact guns being posted could whizz off drive shaft nuts and wheel bolts?
I'm interested in having one cause my battery one is on its way out and I only use it at home so this would be ideal.

Does the Clarke one have enough torque. I've been looking at used Makitas/Snap on and Makitas on eBay but reading the torque figure the Clarke one seems to hold its own at 440nm. Has any of the Clarke owners come up against any issues with it not being powerful enough?

I used an air gun the other week and the speed to dismantle a car was amazing! Except it did lack torque to get one of the nuts off a tie bar.

I bought a 2nd hand Makita 6934FDWFE with 4 3.0Ah batteries off a garage so it has had some heavy use, but its still going strong. You can get more powerful guns, this one is 140Nm which is ideal for M12 bolts, like a wheel nuts.

Mine has failed only on a caliper bolt which had literally rusted into the caliper. No amount of heat would remove it so it was ground off and drilled.

Managed my hubnut fine which are normally difficult on Scoobs apparently.

Not sure you'll start a flywheel bolt with one of them.

I'd rather buy the £60 one 5 times.

I find you buy something expensive and they require some special looking after or you have to have it serviced for £50 a time.

Bit like watches...
