I live in a small town in Liverpool called formby. This small town is filled with old people who think anyone under the age of 60 is a "yob" out to terrorise the streets and cause mayhem amongst the villagers.
They were the ones that declined the formby skatepark plans and the youth club revamp plans, because "it will mean more youths hanging around on the street"

After dropping the speed linit of the bypass that runs past formby to 60mph due to alot of fatal crashes caused by one junction that has no lights, no stop signs, no warning, and compleetly ignoring residents plees to just close the bloody thing
Now they've decided that the whole of formby, apart from 4 roads, is to become a 20mph speed limit

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK
I agree on having a 20mph zone outsides of schools and maby in the little centre village thing. But the whole of formby?!

It's literally every road in formby apart from 4. Would have to drive to work in reverse. Haha

I'd expect there's lots of mobility scooters on the road anyway, preventing you doing more than 20 mph.

Most streets near me are now 20 zones. Can't say I've ever done 20, still do 30. Speed limits set while cars had drum brakes should not be made slower when everything is much safer anyway.
If I run a kid over at 30 they according to the advert on TV will walk away fine? So lesson is, kids should learn the green cross code and stay the fuck out the Road. I managed to not die as a child I think?

There is enough of the doddery cunts about in new cars who don't get over 20 anyway.

Bypass reduction is also stupid. Dual lane carriageway with little either side. 60/70 meh it gets ignored by most.

There's another reason too.
I could be wrong, but this is just what I've heard, apparently councils don't legally need to fix roads if the speed limit is below 30, so expect your town to become a rally stage in a few years.

Formby= Gods waiting room, all the old people are all stuck up.

your normaly doing about 20mph anyway in formby because you just get stuck behind dorris and margaret on her way to waitrose in there Suzuki Alto which they bought from crappyhouse cars.
