is there such a thing?

Money in bank makes naff all, what cars could you buy, keep for a couple of years, drive, and sell for same/more money? Wish i bough an e30 m3 10 years ago as they seem expensive now.

10-20k budget. Must be fun and rare.

thanks

Escort Cosworth without a doubt. In fact anything ford with an RS badge won't loose money due to the following they have. The new focus RS holds its value very well.

Lotus Carlton if you can find a mint example.

As above, Lotus Carlton if you can find a decent one.

Other than that - 1960s Mini?

Even if it means buying one for £5,000, spending £15,000 on it, when its mint it'll fetch £20,000+

Apart from no matter how good condition it's in, it will rust, and will need money spending on it,

From experience. Not myth.

If you fancy something newish and quick.then a z4m coupe seems a good choice. The roadsters are cheap around winter and they seem to have hit a plateau.

Escort cosworth is a great choice, so long as you don't mess around with it.
