To cut a long story short monday evening was just in my car on my drive, 3 lads point a gun in my face demanding the car keys which i gladly hand over. The car was found same night and been held in a police compound for forensics. Where do i stand insurance wise will i loose my no claims bonus?

If there was no damage I can't imagine there being any issue with insurance?

Even though you havent claimed or anything you will now have to put on your insurance that you have had a theft of no value against you. Happened to me when my golf got nicked, was a mistake telling the insurance as it went straight on the database.

Can't you tell the insurance you don't want to claim and recover the car yourself?

I would fix the car and then sell it as they might have reg number etc or spot it with you in it again etc

This is the thing the car has already been recovered and has been in the impound having forensics looking over it. I have already told my insurance what has happened but they havent really said whats going to happen. The car is ready to be released from the impound now, so whats my best options?

Yeah all you need is ignition barrel, door lock and any others (wouldn't have thought the boot would have one but glovebox maybe?) then get it programmed. Won't be cheap.

I'd try and claim for the lock set and fees off your insurance. One Audi key + programming costs a couple of hundred quid.

If change locks and flog it ASAP.
Or move it far away, don't want them coming back to your house pissed off.

If just sell it on eBay as it is and hope they live far away. Not a chance would I be driving around in it again as they will definatly recognise it again.

Best thing you can do is ask your insurance company. They have the contract so will be able to tell you exactly where you stand. Just make sure you say "I dont want to claim, but if i was to... etc etc"

If you want them to penalise you for not even claiming anything.
