The disco does seem like better value. Would it be a bit more less car like....agricultural farm like!?

Nope. Most people round here have shifted from RRS to discos. They are a tidy looking vehicle

Don't buy an out of warranty disco but definitely Disco would be my choice given it's seven seats. Even the D3 didn't feel particularly agricultural compared to the 1 & 2.

X5's are cheap! You can pick up a 3.0d one for around 4-6k. So much car for the money. Still look new as well. Was looking at them yesterday.

Because everything on them breaks, expensively.

Does it though? The only thing I've ever sold for them is rear airbags and they're £230 a side. Not bad considering they'll last another 10 years...

Maybe disco owners don't go to ecp for their parts?

I've known a few, all of them had things break just outside of the 3 years. Turbo's are common, EGR, various suspension components.

Maybe they've got somewhere cheaper for those bits. Maybe the examples I've seen are outside of the norm.

Egr valves I'll give you, on the 2.7 tdv6 they are quite common but turbos aren't any more common than other diesels IMO, they're all as bad as each other.
