Not long to go now, was between two events for me but have plucked for the cheaper one because I've already spent far too much on Christmas presents!

I used to go clubbing every month without fail but this year I've only had a few proper nights out! Getting old... so I'm gonna make this one count, at least it makes it 'special' again even if everyone there is 10 years younger than me.

Not to sound like a Hipster or anything but it's basically the main underground music night round here. This is the last one I went to in August...

8 of us off for meal then few beers at my mates after . Nothing crazy . The days of standing waiting to be served all night like and packed like sardines ,paying crazy entry fees are over.

That's why I went with the above event... the other big one in Southend is up to £37.80 per ticket now! Crazy money just to get sloshed for a few hours.

Spending it at the mrs house. Got threatened with a bat last year, and had a row with 4 people on way back from London.
Too many pricks, can't handle their drink, all trying to get the most drunk to get the most attention.
Annoys the fuck out of me

True NYE 2009 was when I got attacked and ended up with a broken nose (totally unprovoked) still, that could happen any night these days.

Used to do this every year. You wake up with a stinking hangover, don't enjoy your Christmas dinner and are in bed when everyone else is out enjoying themselves.

Probably usual NYE for me. Drive mrs to her friend's house, pick up takeaway on the way home, complete final diary entry for the year, pack it up to be shipped to storage, watch a film or two, wank, then pick Mrs up again while watching millions upon millions of Japanese lanterns flying across the sky....

A colleague of mine went a few years ago. If you're going to watch the fireworks on the river, his top tip was to get there very early if you want a prime spot. He also said be prepared to feel like a sober person in a nightclub, where you feel every accidental shove and elbow you get from the others in the crowd...and you have to restrain yourself from causing a scene Seriously though, he said it was an awesome experience. Far better than anything the Scotch can put on.

Agree with
All of this, apart from good night.

I've experienced it twice and glad I did, ultimately it was shit both times. Loads of roads shut and
One way systems in operation.

Would never do
It again

Can't help but read all your posts in the voice of Stevie from Malcolm in the Middle.

Also, went to London for NYE once, Covent Garden iirc, was full of cunts.
