UPDATE: NEW PICS AT END GONNA USE IT AS A BIT OF A PROJECT THREAD BUT DONT EXPECT ENGINE CONVERSIONS ETC ETC AS IT HAS TO STAY AS A 1.0L FOR INSURANCE

Just paid for my first corsa today, but its in a unit so no pictures unfortunately. untill later, possibly tomorrow, its completely standard and done 83k miles only paid £150 so no hate (no MOT either haha but apparently just needs brake pipes and a few springs, oh and a lambda sensor)

Anyway, its a Corsa B in Atlantis Blue, and its a 1.0 3-banger! (for insurance purposes... HOWEVER i do have a 1.8SRi engine in the garage that needs re-ringing so that will be going in when i have bought the rest of the bits to go with it)

By the by, im just thinking what upgrades I should do, ive got a list of things i want to do soooooo here goes.

Lowered 60mm all round on FK AK Coilovers (anyone know what these are like if they are shit ill be going for 60mm apex springs as im on a budget)

ATS Cup 15" Wheels
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ATS-CUPS-alloys-wheels-4x100-BMW-e30-VW-Golf-polo-caddy-jetta-lupo-seat-arosa-/321259949162?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item4acc95cc6a

Powerflow oval backbox (was originally taken off a golf at work a year ago but its mint so i saved it)

Remove centre box on exhaust

Aftermarket Vauxhall steering wheel TO GET RID OF THE HORRIBLE 2 SPOKE, seen one on eBay for like £35 looks smart
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sports-Steering-Wheel-VAUXHALL-CORSA-A-B-C-ASTRA-F-GSI-/150708529367?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2316eda8d7

K&N 57i Induction Kit OR Powerflow panel filter with drilled and de-restricted air box?

HID Kit and white LED side lights and reg lights

smoked back lights

GSi front bumper and skirts

fully colour coded and de badged.

boot smoothed and de handled and de wipered (but keeping numberplate recess)

Any more ideas fellas/ladies?

I will be declaring it as I've just been talking to my boss and he knows a lot of people in the rallying business, says he is gonna get me some cheap parts eg high lift cams, forged pistons and rods, and bigger valves put in, polished and ported, so hoping for 2years and I'll have it in then I'll declare it but as a standard 1.8 insurance would be sky high

Then I'll look into turbo'ing it...

Just got some fresh news off the guy I'm buying it off, he also has a 1.2 in the same colour! Newer year but I'm still sticking with the 1.0 for insurance but the 1.2 has had a front end smash, but doors, boot etc are mint so will be swapping any rusty bumpkin parts happy

wouldnt waste my time with the 18xe1 engines personally... drink a fair bit of juice and are slower than a healthy 1600 16v with a cheap inlet on

I had a cherry bomb on my old metro in 1998 - used to drive me absolutely mental on motorways though with the drone of it. Some lads round near me have them on their clios, they drive round everywhere in 2nd gear though at about 4000rpm - fuck knows why.

Depends how low you're going. If you wanna go low to the point of tucking tyre in arch you'd need to do a combo of rolling the arches and running stretch. If you're only going 60mm you could fit them fairly easily. My OZ turbo's are 7x15 et33 running 165/45/15, rolled the arches slightly and I'm sitting arch on rim with no problems.

On that note I'll bodge my power flow on and see what it's like, if I don't like it I'll go to the cherry bomb

Will be wanting slight tuck, but if they just bolt on fine with 60mm springs I think I'll just try that and see how it sits

Is the stud pattern/hub size the same? Or very similiar

If you do a lot of motorway mileage, it'll do your head in, unless you have your tunes pumping at the same time to overpower it.

Yeah the PCD of those in the ebay ad is 4x100, centre bore is 57.1 so as near as makes no difference. It's just the offset of 28 that's a big difference to standard vaux stuff.

Just spoke to my mate who had his corsa b on ATS cups on 60mm springs he said he had to have abit of stretch to clear arches but other than that fit a treat

But it's not Atlantis blue I don't think, anyway here's some pics
Needs a bonnet, 2 tyres, a bumper and an exhaust so far

Not bad for £150 anyone know what colour it actually is and where I can find a colour code
