Small update from me got rid of the RS6 a while ago sadly due to problems, would of kept it but it was constant battle putting things right, cut my losses and got shot of it
Decided to down size to a sensible car corsa vxr nurburgring really liked it but after a while it felt flat and I missed the v8 in the audi so sold that on few photos never posted
Hunting around for something else to replace it with looked at evo 8 and subaru's but all ragged. This weekend found this not my usual choice of car a merc, so me and a mate travelled up to Yorkshire to get it, always liked the shape of them and its nice to be back in a a proper car although its big! full merc service history and health check lots of toys great fun lazy 5.0l V8 2 owners from new. im loving it very good condition as well.

Love it. VXR looked nice in black, not a fan of the normal ones but Nurburg ones do look the ticket.
I have a Benz fetish. Want an R129

cheers guys yeah the merc is great very smooth and its a lazy v8 where as the rs6 avant was instant insane when you stamped on the gas this is more smooth but plenty powerful enough with lots of torque when you need it, cheaper to insure then the corsa vxr as well! which the women from the insurance company found strange when she told me over the phone
Jambo you should get one i could never see the big deal about mercs but they seem to be well put together so far anyway...

Family has one and overall they're decent cars, more so now considering the cost of a second-hand one
RS6 - Guessing fuel usage is similar to your previous RS6 (both upper 'teens)?

yeah this is good actually been impressed with it compared with the audi which used to drink fuel in real time!
so far combined driving 27-28mpg on long motorway runs, was a good 4hr drive back home, probably will be much less for short trips in heavy traffic but tbh as always with these cars fuel is always part of ownership just have to accept it really. Sounds ok could do with more noise from the exhausts but might look into that later on if funds allow.
cheers rich its actually really clean example normally spend ages bringing the paintwork back to life so thats a bonus

Looks lovely. Merc's seem to be forgotten by most people when looking for a barge but they are awesome, especially with a V8.
I shall be buying an E55 once my bloody house purchase goes through

Has it got those daft lights in the roof? My mate's bought one and they'd have to be disconnected. Like the interior light is stuck on, but a dim circle.

If you can edit that advert, take the k out after the mileage. Unless it really has done 73 million miles.
