I Was in kfc today and seen the girl making my food with no gloves on picking everything up. I told the girl im not eating it because of no gloves and she was waving it around by her face as well. She said thats the way they make it and they dont have to wear gloves is this correct?

Do you think everyone who prepares food wears gloves? As long as they've washed their hands.

Even if they've not washed their hands, unless you are a girl, what exactly do you expect to happen?

If you are worried about them not wearing gloves, you'd have a mental breakdown if you knew what probably happens to most of the prepared stuff you eat.

Didn't have to wear gloves when I worked at McDonalds back in the day. Was supposed to wash hands on way into kitchen tho. Saying that, I saw burgers being dropped on the floor then picked up and wrapped as if nothing happened anyway.

Sounds daft but dont care what i dont see but when there waving my food around by her face i dont think its very good. No idea if her hands have been washed or even all the shit and crap under her nails. I always thought they had to wear gloves when preparing food.

The stuff you can see them doing is genuinely the least of the things you should be worried about.

What do you expect the area around her face to do to it?

The hands you used to eat it with were probably dirtier than hers.

I used to work in a kitchen as a cook and at a deli counter in a shop and when I did my food safety training there was a big thing about not using gloves when preparing food. It's been drilled into me so much that whenever I see someone preparing food with gloves on it really really bugs me.

Worked in the kitchen at Mcds, and kitchen at a pub, never used over. Mcds I think you were meant to wash hands every half hour, had an alarm that went of to remind people

Did the food have a slight curry aroma to it after she handled it?

If anything wearing gloves is dirtier than handling food with washed hands. Nobody in the food industry wears gloves unless handling certain products. Do you wear gloves when you cook at home?

i wouldn't imagine wearing gloves would ever be a priority. i hav nvq's in food hygiene and its all about cleaning your hands and the food properly rather than wearing any gloves.

Gloves are worn in subway because they handle the money too. No need for gloves if you are just handling food

Always lol when they have gloves on to touch the money, then touch the food with it as well. Still eat it though.
