So, looking at a house to view/buy BUT it's one street away from where I live now(with my parents).
Would it bother you to live one street away from you parents?

Not really.
If it's a good house go for it.

Fuck no. Much prefer to be like that.
My mum could cook me dinner every day and dad could walk round to do all the d.I.y jobs lol
I live 10 miles away from them and getting my dad over to sort stuff takes forever.

Depends on your relationship with them my mum is 5 mins up the road from me and my gf and it's quiet nice to know she's there and she doesn't bother us so it's ok if there the type of parents that will constantly be popping round and getting in the way and outstaying their welcome then no lol

Next door, no. Next road, yes.
Get on well with them, they wouldn't be knocking everyday, one less potential shitty person in the area

I stayed a 2 main walk away from parents, was easier to get my dad round to do stuff and I had more dinners round there.

Don't see the problem, unless you give them a set of keys!!

Set of keys is even better, then they can go in and wait for stuff being delivered and walk the dog.

My parents live across the road from theirs, and I'm in the process of buying a house 5 mins up the road from them both. Various members of our family are on adjacent roads.
Never been an issue for them, and don't see it being one in my case. Quite the opposite. Depends on the family

Can't see the problem as long as they respect your privacy. We live 1 mile from the 'in-laws' and 19 from my parents

As much as I love my parents, I think it would be an issue. They fucking adore my daughter, which is obviously a good thing, but having them the next street up would mean we'd never get peace as they'd always want to see her.

Mine are 5,000 odd miles away, I'd quite like them to be up the street

If we lived closer than the 70 miles away we currently live to my mum I don't think my wife would still be around

Mrs' dad has a key to our house. As John said, it's handy sometimes, like when we wanted him to come round and wall paper.

I used to live a couple of doors down. It was like living at home. I would not advise this!
I moved a couple of roads down. My Mum visited twice in the 4 years i lived there. Im not sure if it was because of being more free or the fact my dad died or the fact some bitch broke my heart but i was out a lot more than i should have been and banged a few random sluts / did some stupid things.
I now live 12 miles away and have been here a couple of months. My Mum has been here more times than flat two. I do miss my home town but i don't miss the extra 24 miles per day commute and i love my home garage. I'm not liking how much more money i'm spending on another mortage though.
