Online multiplayer progress as far as I can tell. No word on transferring SP progress.

Progress migration is platform independent, though, so doesn't matter if you've gone from PS3 to Xbone or 360 to PS4, you can still transfer progress.

No word on technical details either, but I pulled a frame from the trailer (captured on PS4) and it looks to be running native 1080p with a subtle AA.

"Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California.

Switch between the interconnected lives of Michael, Trevor and Franklin as they embark on a series of heists across Los Santos and Blaine County in the biggest, deepest and richest open world experience yet, with game world enhancements that include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover."

I notice they chose to use footage from PS4 for the trailer... wonder if they'll be able to get the same detail/framerate on Kinectless Xbone?

Comparisons:

1080p does look a bit optimistic, given the level of detail, but if Sucker Punch can pull it off, there shouldn't be any reason Rockstar can't do it as well.

Interestingly Bungie has just reported a resolution increase for Destiny on Xbone since getting the new SDK. Looking to be the first graphics intensive title to hit 1080p on both platforms.

Time will tell if that's without any other sacrifices or if there's complete parity.

GTA V is out around the same time, so Rockstar might have received the new SDK in time to push for extra performance.

So how does this SDK work with the consoles that come with Kinect?

The new SDK just allows developers to turn off the Kinect, while in their game, thus freeing up the GPU power dedicated to running it.

Has nothing to with whether you have a Kinect plugged in or not. Exiting the game turns the Kinect back on.

ah right i get it. Surely Kinect doesnt use up that much GPU power that is going to affect games significantly?

Surely those screenshots would be better if they had given us direct comparisons of the same angle and the same time of day? Maybe it's just me but I'm struggling to objectively compare them when they comparisons are so different??

Cannot wait for this now. First person view looks incredible and apparently the controls can be adjusted to act more like a fps.

Levels of traffic and npc's is insane too. Finally get to make use of the PS4.

Thought it was meant to be out on PC in October? I've not seen or played it yet as I've been waiting for the PC release. Wish it would hurry up!
