Hi all I'm arranging a Stag down in Liverpool and I'm looking for somewhere we can do some go karting that's accessible from the city centre by public transport. Anyone from down that way able to recommend anywhere good? Tried Google but the three I phoned rang out for some reason.

There's also this one in Burscough which I've not been to be I've heard is OK - http://www.indoorsuperkarting.co.uk/
Also this one but in Deeside which is further away again - http://www.thecircuit.co.uk/

Warrington is the one to go to. It's not really acsessable by public transport from Liverpool.
But it's absolutley brilliant.
Burschough is very average. More of a place to just do a couple laps when your bored.

Speed Karting in Warrington is about a 10 minute walk from the main train station in Warrington so it's pretty easy from Liverpool, I'm sure there will be a train from Lime Steet station to there.

Warrington is shockingly bad, there is some karts that will lap 2-3 seconds faster than others,
Marshals havnt got a clue what they are doing,
I literally wouldnt go there if it was free
I hear it used to be good but teamsport have ruined it

If Teamsport Warrington marshals and mechanics are doing the same job as we do at Teamsport Reading then there shouldn't be anymore than a 200th of a second between any of the karts.
I kart tested all the adult karts at Teamsport Reading on Sunday and two of them were well off the pace, pulled them off the track for the mechanic to check up.

Me being lazy, I had it in my head that there were no directs to Liverpool but while most of them aren't, there are some.
WBQ is the station and this is the route to the karting -

48 minute journey from LIV though.

Thanks for the options Ian. Go karting's probably a no go then, would anyone be able to recommend a Stag do type activity we'd be able to do on a Saturday afternoon in or around Liverpool?

I did the world corporate games there for JLR this year,
there was alot of serious drivers from JLR and Bentley there everyone had complaints about the karts and event organisation.
I was on pole by half a second, people complained and my kart was removed, the next on i had was 2 seconds per lap slower and I went from pole to 8th, despite being one of the lightest driver on the grid,
marshals incorrectly black flagged a driver then couldn't work out who they meant to black flag,
the endurance final was based ont he race times of the heats, one heat had a two minute red flag, on the logic applied by the organisers, winner of heat two started behind last place of heat one,
it was a complete shambles

I would tend to agree when I went there it was a shambles, was on in two groups, did a 20 minute run first then came off, next thing I know we where being rushed back in to the carts and did a further 30 / 40 minutes, was fucked after ten minutes on the second heat
Black flag thing happened to me as well, got a random black flag coming down the ramp, just ignored it and carried on.

They always do that bollocks, starting winner of first heat at the back and it irritates me to fuck. It's ok for people who don't give a shit but for serious racers it's pointless. What you should have done is come up with your own rules and let the manager know and work it into Teamsports framework, as long as it all works then no issues.

Definitely this.
I used to go and it was good fun.
Karts used to be very good and tuned up decently.
Last couple of times I went, the karts were so uneven, it was laughable. I pit in twice to change but was still getting my ass handed to me by complete n00bs
One kart was like I was driving pissed. I could barely make it back to pit because of steering issues
Endurance races were total immense though

Range of water sports activities here too kayaking sailing wake boarding etc etc used to have the kayak club based here guys that work there are sound as they come and up for a laugh. The docks behind Leo casino.
Can recommend the wake boarding it's a laugh! You have a cable running along above you and your pulled along by that it's as good as being attached to a boat and easy to learn as you don't have to deal with the wake..
