So if you have shampoo and conditioner, what is the likelihood of running out of both at the same time.
If you use shampoo twice as fast, it'll happen every two bottles of shampoo. The conditioner will be empty at the same time.
Ditto four times as fast, end of shampoo 4 will also be the end of conditioner 1.
Need the general form, for example the ratio 1.9:1, after how many bottles of shampoo would you also run out at the same time?
Don't say you wouldn't, they're two sawtooth waves so unless you had a divisible period but offset the start, they'd always intersect.

1.9:1 could also be seen as 19:10, which I believe gives you your answer, unless I'm missing something?

Yeah I meant I was after a general form for working any the intersect for any given ratio.
I got as far as multiplying any decimal by enough 10s to give me a whole number and that's the intersect.
It also appears that if you end up with a ratio with common factors that you can divide that down so for example 4.2:1 becomes 42:10 which is therefore 21:5.
Appears to work so long as you can end up with whole numbers on both sides.

Are people suggesting Ian has perverted shower rituals and that is why he runs out quickly?

Supposition.
I still would like to be able to pick a random number and have an equation to give you the bottle intersect.
ie. 5.76 => (5.76 x 10^2) / n
n = 2
576:100
288:50
n = 4
144:25
n is trial and error just now. Is there a better way?

To what end Ian?
Btw, I tend to use just shampoo these days. Usually can't be arsed with conditioner.
