My fiestas getting repainted Saturday, after its been flatted and polished in a couple of weeks (going on holiday so can't get it done) what's some decent wax stuff to put on it?
It's a panther black car, want to keep it looking fresh and clean. fitting a new wing on the n/s and colour coding handles etc too. Already painted the wing.

And the handles

And a shot in light for good measure

And how it looks at the moment

Too much internet scene stuff here. Nothing wrong with collinite 476s. Might not impress people on forum's, but does a great job of doing what a wax should do.

Always liked using Dodo Juice Purple Haze on my old black car, but what Ben said is good too.

Agreed
Don't know why anyone would use anything else to be honest. £15 a tin which lasts years and coat lasts 6 months if looked after.

Great product. I used to use various polishes and waxes but don't have the time or inclination any more. Collinite just lasts forever and is very easy to apply

Is it not like 3x the price though? I'd expect it to tickle my balls for the cost.

I wouldn't be putting anything on it yet. You need to let it cure for a while firsst.
What I currently use for customers cars are:
Full vehicle prep
Polish as necessary
Carbon Collective Oracle
Leave 24 hours
Swissvax Onyx
The oracle gives you a really hard protection layer and the onyx gives you a nice wet look.

Cheers all. It's getting painted Saturday but then I'm away on holiday until 27th May anyway so can't do anything until then.

I've changed my mind on waxes ect now and will be stripping mine and preparing it for a coat of Kamikaze ISM, has fantastic reviews, easy on and off and a durability of 24-36 months. It's a flexible coating and has a very deep shine to it almost to he effect of a wax.
It's just the painstaking preparation I'm dreading

TBF it looks great, but being black there is already a few swirls nothing major so will come out with a machine polish, just need to get it as perfect as I can before I seal it as there will be no going back
I spend to much time worrying about the wax or what to use next so going to seal it and be done with it, apart from washing and the odd wax on show day there's nothing that needs doing to it
How's your ST?
