its more compact space saving and providing a small amount of bass that i cant get from the small front speakers.
found some with built in amps, that would be ideal.

When you hear a 'bass line' coming from another car in traffic what do you instantly think about that driver:
a) Wow what a classy gentleman, I wish I could be more like him.
or
b) What a cunt.

I'm not sure where you learned to speak English but what I did there was ask a question, not make a statement.
It was merely there for your to use as a point of consideration before making your purchase.

Further more if you are not interested in peoples opinions then why did you feel the need to ASK for peoples opinions?

i asked what people know about small active subs, not what peoples opinions are about base lines from vehicles? you need to read the original post better before high horsing yourself on a thread dave.

I apologise Mr Barnes, I'm sure you'll enjoy the finely tuned acoustics of your motor vehicle once it has enough base to rattle the panels.

Having a subwoofer doesn't equal too much bass though.

Nic, is there no way you could find room in the van for a small 8" or 10" active sub in a regular sealed enclosure?
I admit I've no experience with the flat ones, but I can't imagine them playing anywhere near as well as a proper sub.

well orginally i had 2x 12" subs under the rear seat. ive now swapped that for the facrory quick release rear seats, as i like the idea of being able to have use of the full van if needed quickly.
id prefer it to be a permanent fixture in an out the way place.

I put the active version of this sub in the other half's 206 last month (sub, amp and pushchair just wouldn't fit)! Good sub, fills in that gap you get with the standard speakers. Not window rattling by any means, but does a good job.
Ours is mounted in the boot (drivers side) as there is practically no room for feet and sub in a 206 footwell.

I think this is probably the kind of thing I need in my car. Just a little something to complement the OE speakers.

Get some component speakers and they will provide you with enough bass for normal listening.
Ive got components in the front and coaxels in the rear and I can feel my chair vibrate on bassy songs

Plus with it being in a van type of vehicle i think a sub would sound pretty poor

It's pretty quiet inside now it's insulated and partly carpeted so I think it wouldn't be too bad.
Fronts are 10cm yep, what and where do I put the tweeters however? Is there an angle etc that would be best? Plenty of room in the a pillar covers
